     This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Mammoth Mountain Inn is a good choice; there are delightful sites to explore along the Gaylor Lakes Trail. Summer brings highs in the 90's to Harriet Lake. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 50's. Highs throughout the winter are regularly in the 40's, and night lows at Harriet Lake during the wintertime generally drop into the 20's.

   do in the Central Sierra Nevada. Going for a hike on the John Muir Trail - section 1 is always a great adventure, and get your heart beating on the fine whitewater of Tenaya Creek. Near Harriet Lake you locate the John Muir Trail - section 2 which is a nice hiking trail; you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at June Mountain since you're here. Harriet Lake is a good site of common precipitation; of all the months in a year January is the one  
               with the most rain, and August is when it's the driest.
Foerster Peak is clearly visible from Harriet Lake. There's so much to do here at Harriet Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Clover Meadow Campground is a perfect site for that. You just ought to love the Central Sierra Nevada. Take a side tour to Hutchings Creek, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend San Joaquin River - Middle Fork. All the outdoors exciting stuff near Harriet Lake will keep you coming back many times. Dry warm beds await you at Heidelberg Inn; McGee Lake is a nearby lake that you could check out.
Harriet Lake is one of the lakes here in the Central Sierra Nevada. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Harriet Lake has to offer, you can camp at Granite Creek Campground, and if you get bored of Harriet Lake you could also check out nearby Isberg Lakes.
