Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by close by Middle Lake, and hiking along the Oak Spring Trail is tremendous fun. So much exciting stuff to do in the San Gabriel Mountains, not sufficient time. Super 8 Motel - N Hollywood, CA is a great location to get some rest, and Hansen Lake is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Honeybee Campground is a perfect local campground. The scenery at Hansen Dam       close to Hansen Lake is beautiful; after a long day outdoors Hampton Inn Suites Los Angeles Burbank Airport is a fine spot to spend a night or two. Not much precipitation falls here at Hansen Lake; the month with most of the rain is February while July is mostly the driest month. And if that's not sufficient, there's a load more to do close to Hansen Lake. If only every spot had this much outdoors amusing stuff, what a great earth it would be. Have a                  magnificent hiking adventure along the Dagger Flat Trail, and not far from Hansen Lake you'll hit upon Hansen Flood Control Basin which is a charming lake. This spot, the San Gabriel Mountains, has so much outdoors fun things. Going for a hike along the Gold Canyon Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. There's so much to do here at Hansen Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Vicabob Trailer Village is a good site for that. Big Tujunga Creek is a delightful local stream; the slopes of Mt Waterman are so inviting nobody can resist. A spree to Hansen Spreading Grounds rejuvenates the spirit, and a visit to Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area is recommended. This lake is located in the wonderful San Gabriel Mountains. All through the days of summer, highs regularly are in the 90's at Hansen Lake with nighttime lows in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 60's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Hansen Lake temperatures fall to the 30's. This lake is so wonderful.
