Camping is available at Eagle Falls Campground; Dicks Pass is a good spot to check out. Yep, outdoors amusing stuff truly is abundant here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Yeah, come here to Half Moon Lake for a great time. If you came for an overnight stay Bayview Campground is a fine place to camp; if you're stopping by from Gardnerville Ranchos, you won't be the only one. During your stay at Half       Moon Lake do have a look at close by Baldwin Beach, and Cracked Crag is delightful and can be seen from here. Half Moon Lake gets a typical amount of precipitation; the month of January is the wettest with most of the snow while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Silver Creek - South Fork; Homewood is a very popular ski area in close proximity. So much exciting stuff to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada, not enough time. Hit the slopes at Sierra at Tahoe in close proximity, and time spent at Kiva Beach is always great. So much entertaining stuff to do here at Half Moon Lake, too splendid to be true. Going for a hike along the General Creek Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and do go to Dicks Lake, it's a wonderful lake. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Half Moon Lake. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 40's.
