    Half Moon Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. This lake is so wonderful. Bear Tree Meadow is a brilliant location to stretch your legs a bit; Wolf Creek Pass is also a good location to discover. Half Moon Lake is a beautiful lake in the Northern Sierra Nevada. So much amusing stuff to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada, not enough time. There's whitewater on Stanislaus River - Middle Fork for all you adrenaline people, and you're probably  
   hooked on lakes, Asa Lake is one of those nearby.
If the weather is great here at Half Moon Lake, you can go for a hike along the Corral Valley Trail, and you can hit the slopes at Bear Valley around here. Stay the night at Highland Lakes Campground, and a great sight of wonderful Arnot Peak is available. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Half Moon Lake.
Any time is a fine time at Half Moon Lake if you adore the outdoors. There are some delightful
 
               whitewater spots on Carson River - East Fork; you can have a good hiking adventure along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 13. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Half Moon Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Bloomfield Campground is a tremendous site for that; dry warm beds await you at Pinecrest Chalet. Half Moon Lake ordinarily gets a great deal of rainfall; the month of January is the wettest with most of the snow, and the driest of the months is July.
During the long summer days at Half Moon Lake temperatures are mostly in the 70's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 40's. For the duration of the wintertime the highs are regularly in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Half Moon Lake. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Dodge Ridge, and Creekside Lodge is a nice place to get some rest. This place, the Northern Sierra Nevada, has so much outdoors enjoyable things. Going for a hike along the Silver King Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and an out of the ordinary thing to take a look at close to Half Moon Lake is Lower Highland Dam.
