    Half Moon Lake is a lake worth visiting. This lake is so wonderful. Asa Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit, and if you need a location to stay Super 8 Gardnerville is a great choice. Going for a hike on the Pacific Crest Trail - section 13 is always a great adventure, and Stanislaus River - Middle Fork is a fine whitewater spot close by. The Northern Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful.

   at Half Moon Lake. At Half Moon Lake you can distinguish Arnot Peak. Half Moon Lake gets a lot of water; most of the snow falls throughout January, and July on the other hand is the driest. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable things at Half Moon Lake. The skiing at Dodge Ridge is splendid, and a brilliant place for whitewater paddling is Carson River - East Fork.
Now, you may imagine that's plenty but there's even more cool things
 
               to do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. There are brilliant places to look at along the Silver King Trail; everyone loves Bear Tree Meadow. If you get bored of Half Moon Lake, you could also check out close by Highland Lakes. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Half Moon Lake has to offer, you can camp at Highland Lakes Campground. A brilliant place near Half Moon Lake is Wolf Creek Pass, and a splendid close by hotel is Best Western Topaz Lake Inn.
This lake is so wonderful. The scenery at Lower Highland Dam in close proximity to Half Moon Lake is gorgeous. There's so much to do here at Half Moon Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Bloomfield Campground is a delightful spot for that. For the period of the months of summer highs here at Half Moon Lake get into the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Half Moon Lake dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights. And if that's not enough there's lots more exciting things to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Bear Valley is near Half Moon Lake, and you can go for a hike on the Corral Valley Trail.
