It is very dehydrated here at Gumboot Lake generally; the month with most of the rain is December, and July is when it's the driest. So many cool things near Gumboot Lake, clearly unbelievable. Gumboot Lake is right by the Castle Lake Trail, and a glorious close by hotel is Comfort Inn Central. A spree       to Mumbo Basin revives the spirit, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Gumboot Lake; Echo Lake Trail is a fine local trail. In the event that you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Sacramento River; after a long day outdoors Quality Inn & Suites Weed is a pleasant place to spend a night or two. Cedar Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit; Trinity River - East Fork is a fine whitewater spot nearby. This                  lake is so wonderful. Do visit Upper Gumboot Lake near Gumboot Lake, it's a beautiful lake, and Castle Lake Campground is a delightful local campground. This lake is so wonderful. You can never get enough of the good skiing at Mount Shasta. Summer at Gumboot Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's with overnight lows in the 40's.
