    A visit to Grub Flat Reservoir is always a good idea. This lake is so wonderful. If you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Feather River - North Fork, and why not camp at Feather West Travel Trailer if you're here at Grub Flat Reservoir. A great spot to camp here at Grub Flat Reservoir is Goat Ranch Campground; dry warm beds await you at Oroville-Days Inn. Be careful coming to the Northern Sierra Nevada, you might not  
   ever wanna return home again. While you're here at Grub Flat Reservoir it's a glorious idea to explore Campbell Flat, and you might also want to pay a visit to Spring Valley Gulch while you're here at Grub Flat Reservoir.
A short visit to Dutch Pete Spring is always worthwhile; Butte Creek has a glorious whitewater paddling spot close by. For the duration of the summer, highs mostly are in the 90's at Grub Flat Reservoir, and through the night it cools down
 
               to the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 50's while Grub Flat Reservoir nighttime low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Central is a brilliant place to spend a night or two, and people from Chico love to come here.
Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting things near Grub Flat Reservoir. Littlefield Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could go to; while you're here you ought to go to Goat Point. That right there is plenty of amusing things already but it goes on, the Northern Sierra Nevada has it all. The peak of Deer Peak can be observed from Grub Flat Reservoir, and if you get bored of Grub Flat Reservoir you could also take a look at nearby Tom Jones Reservoir.
Grub Flat Reservoir is a beautiful lake in the Northern Sierra Nevada. The annual precipitation here at Grub Flat Reservoir is about average; the wettest month of the year is commonly January, that's the one that rains the most, and July is the month with the least moisture.

...orseshoe Lake itself, it's very small, with poor fishing. It has a small dock, an indoor gun range, a humble yet awesome space observatory, and the golf course running behind all of it. Also bathrooms,  parking, water, dog poop bags, line recyclers. On the Lake's side of the road, it is legal to have your dog off-leash as long as he is 'under control'. Local dogs love it here and they all seem very friendly. The real beauty is the surrounding area of Bidwell Park. The trails going from there into Upper Park, run along both sides of the creek, and make for a very easy walk. There's fantastic scenery as you get closer to Salmon Hole, a very popular swimming spot, but the ''climb'' down to those calm waters amid the turbulent creek is a little steep for children and less sure footed people. Stick along the edge of the canyon as it gradually rises and you'll be treated to a nice sunset over the way you just came, with the winding canyon and it's white waters.
