     Camping at Woods Lake Campground is always a nice experience, and The Meadow is a perfect place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Really brilliant skiing awaits you at Kirkwood, and Devils Creek is next to Grouse Lake and is always a pleasure to go to. This lake is located in the wonderful Northern Sierra Nevada.
Deadwood Peak is clearly visible from Grouse Lake, and going for a hike on the Hawley Grade Trail is always a nice adventure. Summertime
 
   at Grouse Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's, and the overnight is quite colder of course, usually in the 40's. For the duration of the winter highs are mostly in the 30's, and nighttime lows at Grouse Lake during the wintertime commonly fall into the 10's. Grouse Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; January is the month that gets the most snow, and July is when it's the driest.
Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Northern Sierra Nevada. You can
 
               run the rapids of Mokelumne River - North Fork right next door to Grouse Lake, and don’t forget to visit Devils Corral if you're here at Grouse Lake. But wait, there's more exciting things to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. A brilliant place to camp here at Grouse Lake is Upper Blue Lake Campground, and a great close by hotel is The Mountain Club. Just can't get enough of Grouse Lake. This is a good area for people who like lakes. Deadwood Lake is a lake close by; there are plenty of people from Gardnerville Ranchos here at Grouse Lake.
A magnificent place near Grouse Lake is Telephone Gulch; there is a fine hiking trail close by called the Emigrant Trail. All the outdoors fun stuff in the Northern Sierra Nevada will keep you coming back repeatedly. But wait, there's more to do near Grouse Lake. Bear Valley has tremendous slopes and a friendly staff, and you're possibly hooked on lakes, Fourth of July Lake is one of those close by.
This lake is so wonderful. Near Grouse Lake you hit upon the Charity Valley Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail, and a great spot for whitewater paddling is American River - South Fork.
