Summertime highs at Greenstone Lake frequently tend to be in the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 30's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's; through the dark hours in the winter at Greenstone Lake temperatures sink to the 0's. The peak of North Peak can be distinguished from Greenstone Lake, and if you need a place to stay Yosemite Gateway Motel is a glorious choice. If you fancy the outdoors you'll fancy it here in the Central Sierra Nevada. A nice nearby hotel is Heidelberg Inn, and if you want to stop by some interesting                  stuff, stop by Dore Cliff. Not much rain falls here at Greenstone Lake; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most snow, and the driest of the months is October. This lake is so wonderful. While staying at Greenstone Lake you could always discover Dore Pass; Sawmill Campground is a glorious campground nearby. If you came for an overnight stay Saddlebag Campground is a splendid place to camp, and Greenstone Lake is right by the Gaylor Lakes Trail. This place, the Central Sierra Nevada, has so much outdoors cool stuff. A day on the slopes of June Mountain is just what you need, and do take a hike on the Pacific Crest Trail - section 12.
