This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Greenhorn Reservoir; Clear Creek Trail is a tremendous local trail, and possibly you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Trout Lake is just a very short distance away. Good hiking is available along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 18. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining things in the Siskiyou Mountains. Greenhorn Reservoir is magnificent enough to spend

So much amusing stuff in the neighborhood of Greenhorn Reservoir, simply fantastic. Get your pulse rate up on the brilliant whitewater of Shasta River, and a tremendous nearby hotel is Baymont Inn & Suites Yreka. it goes on, the Siskiyou Mountains has it all. Head up to Mt. Ashland and strap some skis to your feet; Humbug Gulch is also a great place to explore. This lake is one of the great places here in the Siskiyou Mountains. This lake
is so wonderful. The Bear Creek Trail offers hiking at its best, and enjoy a round of golf at Shasta Valley Golf Club. Through the summertime at Greenhorn Reservoir temperatures are commonly in the 90's, and all through the night
it cools down to the 40's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Greenhorn Reservoir are in the 20's. Camping at Yreka RV Park is always a great experience, and you can run the rapids of Klamath River.

 | Roundtrip Distance 15.2 miles Elevation Gain 2,232 ft. This peak is trailless, meaning a portion or all of the route up the mountain is via an unmarked trail. For this particular mountain, the typical route is known as a ''herd path'' which is not much more than a worn, but unmarked trail. Some of the herd paths are easy to follow, others are not. In many instances the hiker will travel down a false herd path and eventually have to correct his/her course via backtracking. For these particular mountains, it is imperative that the hiker carry a compass (and know how to use it) and topographic map.... |

Ashland offers plenty of adventure for both skiers and riders. The ski area is located about a half an hour drive from the charming town of Ashland, home to the world renowned Oregon Shakespeare Festival. At 7,500 feet, Mt. Ashland is the highest point in the Siskiyou mountain range. Its north facing slopes collect an average 300 inches of snowfall annually. The ski area offers 23 trails in addition to chute skiing and boarding in its famous bowl. All trails are easily accessed by 4 chairlifts. Twilight skiing on 10 runs is scheduled Thursday through Friday evenings beginning in late-December. The mountain prides itself on a warm and friendly atmosphere.
