At Green Spring Reservoir all through the months of summer highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 40's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 40's with temperatures at Green Spring Reservoir dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Southern Cascade Range. If you need a site to stay Super 8 Motel - Alturas is a nice choice. There's       so much to do here at Green Spring Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Reservoir C Campground is a wonderful location for that. Best Western Trailside Inn is a magnificent location to get some rest. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Green Spring Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Big Sage Campground. This lake is so wonderful. It's always glorious to stop by Coffee Mill Spring. Not much precipitation falls here at Green                  Spring Reservoir; the month with most of the snow is December, and July on the other hand is the driest.
