East Lake is a nearby lake that you could have a look at, and after a long day outdoors Yosemite Gateway Motel is a good place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Gaylor Lakes Trail. Just can't get enough of the Central Sierra Nevada. A lake nearby is West Lake, and Green Lake is right by the Pacific Crest Trail - section 12. Doc and       Al's Robinson Creek Resort is a glorious campground nearby; if you're looking for some flowing water? Try East Fork Green Creek. The Central Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful. And if that's not enough there's heaps more amusing stuff to do in the Central Sierra Nevada. Hiking along the John Muir Trail - section 1 is perfect fun; dry warm beds await you at Heidelberg Inn. Green Lake is pretty dried out regularly; of all the months in a year January is                  the one with the most snow, and the driest of the months is October. Green Lake is near Glines Canyon which is positively worth stopping at; at Green Lake you can spot Camiaca Peak. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Paho Campground is a pleasant place to camp; float down the rapids of Tenaya Creek in a kayak. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Green Lake. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 30's.
