Do set aside some time for Milkhouse Flat since you're here at Green Island Lake; why not take a little visit to Firstwater Creek if you're here. Now, you may assume that's a load but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Green Island Lake. There's so much to do here at Green Island Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Little Grizzly Campground is a tremendous spot for that, and lakes are such peaceful places, why not       stop at Saucer Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is lovely, you get a wonderful view of Castle Rocks from Green Island Lake, and Frog Lake is a great lake nearby. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. Feather River - North Fork has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby, and there are brilliant places to explore along the Yellow Creek Trail. There's glorious hiking along the Lassen Trail; going to Lassen Volcanic National Park                  is just something you need to do if you haven't yet. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool things in the Northern Sierra Nevada. If you came to camp Injun Jim Campground is a good place to do that, and dry warm beds await you at Bailey Creek Cottages. All year is a great time in the Northern Sierra Nevada if you go for the outdoors. Don't leave Green Island Lake without first going for a hike along the Carter Meadow Trail, and if you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Feather River - North Fork. If you need a place to stay Best Western Rose Quartz Inn is a brilliant choice, and a visit to Green Island Lake wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Soda Spring. Green Island Lake is located in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Summertime at Green Island Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's; the overnight is quite chillier of course, typically in the 40's. Throughout the winter highs are typically in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Green Island Lake are in the 20's.
