A visit to Grass Lake is always a good idea. This lake is one of the great places here in the Central Sierra Nevada. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors fun stuff the Central Sierra Nevada has to offer. Near Grass Lake you come across the Sherwin Lakes Trail which is a great hiking trail, and get your heart pumping on the nice whitewater of Mono Creek. This lake is so wonderful. From Grass Lake you get a nice panorama of Mount Crocker, and hey,

There are other spots here than Grass Lake, for example Golden Lake; Mammoth Creek Inn is a great location to get some rest. for a hike on the Mammoth Rock Trail is always a great adventure. There's so much to do here at Grass Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Upper McGee Creek Campground is a great site for that. This lake is so wonderful. Not
far from Grass Lake, you'll discover Steelhead Lake which is a picturesque lake, and after a long day outdoors Rodeway Inn Sierra Nevada is a tremendous location to spend a night or two. Grass Lake is regularly a rather arid place;
all through January this area sees the most rain, and June on the other hand is the driest. Looking for a nice journey? Devils Postpile National Monument is rather near Grass Lake, and if you came to camp Lake Crowley Campground
is a delightful spot to do that. At Grass Lake through the warmest time of the year highs are in the 70's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's usually in the 40's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 20's for Grass Lake.

In addition, there is NO access to Devils Postpile (or the Mammoth area, as is implied by the lodging links).
