All through the warmest time of the year highs here at Grass Lake get into the 90's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 50's, and overnight lows during the wintertime for Grass Lake tend to be in the 20's. Whitney Portal is a good spot to discover, and Comfort Inn Lone Pine is a great location to get some rest. This lake is so       wonderful. Mount Corcoran is lovely and can be made out from Grass Lake, and do take a hike on the Mount Whitney Trail. This is no location for people who don’t like to have fun. Float down the rapids of Kern River in a kayak, and do have a look at North Fork Lone Pine Creek if you're here at Grass Lake. Tuttle Creek Campground is a perfect campground nearby, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Frontier Motel. Grass Lake is a beautiful lake in the                  Southern Sierra Nevada. And if that's not sufficient there's plenty more exciting stuff to do in the Southern Sierra Nevada. At Grass Lake you always meet someone from Bishop; you can have a delightful hiking adventure along the Pat Keyes Trail. Just can't get enough of the Southern Sierra Nevada. Grass Lake is a good spot to visit for more than one day, Symmes Creek Campground is a good spot to camp nearby, and Bighorn Park is a wonderful site. This lake is so wonderful. You're almost certainly hooked on lakes, Camp Lake is one of those nearby; if you've had enough of Grass Lake, Peanut Lake is close by.
