Sierra Nevada for a glorious time. There's magnificent hiking along the Charity Valley Trail, and places like Free Meadows are splendid to visit. All the outdoors cool stuff in the Northern Sierra Nevada will keep you coming back
persistently. If you need a location to stay Pine Cone Acre Motel is a nice choice, and if you've had enough of Grass Lake, Scotts Lake is nearby. This lake is so wonderful. A nice location for whitewater paddling in the vicinity
of Grass Lake is Carson River - East Fork, and Alpine Campground is a magnificent campground nearby. After a long day outdoors Harvest Inn-St Helena, Napa Valley is a good place to spend a night or two; Grass Lake is a good spot to
visit for more than one day, Kit Carson Campground is a good spot to camp nearby. Grass Lake gets a normal amount of annual rain; January is when you get the most snow here; the driest month is July. This lake is so wonderful.
In the event that you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Mokelumne River - North Fork, and golf can be played at Tahoe Paradise Golf Course.
