    If you like lakes and you're in this part of California you can check out Granite Lakes. During the summer months highs here at Granite Lakes reach the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 30's. High temperatures all through the wintertime are normally in the 40's while Granite Lakes nighttime low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 0's. If you want a splendid time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Central Sierra Nevada. This is  
   a splendid area for people who like lakes. Fantail Lake is a lake in the neighborhood, and great hiking is available along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 12. Get your heart pumping on the glorious whitewater of Tenaya Creek; you can go for a hike on the John Muir Trail - section 2.
Why not camp at Tioga Campground while you're here at Granite Lakes; Heidelberg Inn is a brilliant place to get some rest. Yep, outdoors amusing stuff truly is plentiful here
 
               in the Central Sierra Nevada. On a lovely day you acquire a view of Gaylor Peak from Granite Lakes, and a great nearby hotel is Yosemite Gateway Motel. This lake is one of the great places here in the Central Sierra Nevada.
Just can't get enough of Granite Lakes. The slopes of June Mountain are so inviting nobody can resist, and there are splendid sites to explore along the Gaylor Lakes Trail. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. Glacier Canyon is a pleasant place to spend some time at, and camping at Granite Lakes is good fun, Sawmill Campground is a good local campground.
It is very dried up here at Granite Lakes typically; through the month of January you get the most snow around here; October on the other hand is the driest.
