    If you are traveling by, why not stop by Granite Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Bear Basin is a good place; the panorama of gorgeous Gibson Peak is nice. So many enjoyable things to do here at Granite Lake, too great to be true. While staying at Granite Lake you could always explore Long Canyon. There's so much to do here at Granite Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Stoney Point Campground is a great location for that. Granite Lake is located in  
   the Klamath Mountains.
Be careful coming to the Klamath Mountains, you might not ever want to return back home again. Yeah, come up here to the Klamath Mountains for a pleasant time. Whiskeytown National Recreation Area is a tremendous national park, and good hiking is available along the Deacon Lee Trail. If you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Trinity River, and while you're here, you could also stop at wonderful Lake
 
               Anna.
If you came to camp Fawn Campground is a wonderful site to do that, and Coffee Creek is a pleasant whitewater spot close by. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Granite Lake, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Granite Lake temperatures plunge to the 20's. Granite Lake gets a typical amount of yearly precipitation; most of the rain falls all through December while July is commonly the driest month.
