A visit to Granite Lake is always a good idea. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Bishop is a great place to spend a night or two, and of course Darwin Creek is a gorgeous stream that is worth visiting. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable things near Granite Lake. Not far from Granite Lake, you'll hit upon Blue Heaven Lake which is a beautiful lake; get yourself into a kayak and hit San Joaquin River - South Fork. Granite Lake gets very little

| | rainfall; January is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is June.
This lake is so wonderful. A great close by hotel is Bishop-Days Inn, and on a splendid day you can take a hike along the John Muir Trail - Pacific Crest Section. Summertime highs at Granite Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 90's with night lows in the 50's. Highs during the winter are frequently in the 50's with temperatures at Granite Lake dipping down into | |

the 20's through winter nights. Lamarck Col is a tremendous place to stop by nearby, and if the weather is magnificent, you can go for a hike along the Kings River Trail.
So many cool things to do here in the Central Sierra Nevada,
too magnificent to be true. North Lake Campground is a pleasant campground here; Mount Lamarck is picturesque and can be seen from here. All year is a splendid time in the Central Sierra Nevada if you have a thing about the outdoors.
Stay the night at Sabrina Campground, and get wet paddling on Kings River - Middle Fork. This lake is located in the wonderful Central Sierra Nevada.
This lake is so wonderful. Devils Postpile National Monument is a very magnificent spot to stop by close to Granite Lake.
