There is a brilliant hiking trail right next door to Granite Lake called the Pacific Crest Trail - section 11, and camping at Canyon View Campground is always a great experience. If you like the outdoors you'll like it here in the Central Sierra Nevada. You're almost certainly keen on lakes, Grouse Lake is one of those close by, and Sequoia       & Kings Canyon National Park is one of the destinations that are tremendous to have a look at nearby. But wait, there's more to do right next door to Granite Lake. You can run the rapids of Kings River - Middle Fork in close proximity to Granite Lake, and if you've had enough of Granite Lake, Volcanic Lakes is close by. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 40's while Granite Lake overnight low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful.
