This lake is one of the great places here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. So much amusing stuff to do here at Granite Lake, too delightful to be true. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay The Meadow is a good choice, and Granite Lake is right by the Windmiller Trail. Granite Lake regularly gets a lot of precipitation; during January this area sees the most snow, and the driest month is July. If you fancy the outdoors, you'll like Granite Lake.

| | While you're here at Granite Lake you have to explore Ferguson Point; the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Kirkwood. At Granite Lake during the warm days of summer highs are in the 70's while nighttime lows are ordinarily in the 40's. Lake. Granite Lake is a great site to visit for more than one day, Ferguson Point Campground is a great site to camp nearby, and a great close by hotel is Meadowstone. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do
around Granite Lake; Hawley Grade Trail is a wonderful local trail; if you come at the right time of year, American River - South Fork offers some glorious whitewater. One of the overriding traits of the surroundings of Granite Lake is Thunder Mountain, and why not head up to Sierra at Tahoe and strap some skis to your feet.
