If you are in this part of California make sure to pay a visit to Granite Lake. Kirkwood has good slopes and a friendly staff. What a place this is for outdoors people. Dry warm beds await you at Pine Cone Acre Motel, and on a magnificent day you can take a hike along the Burnside Lake Trail. Granite Lake is a quite wet place usually with lots of rain; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most snow, and the driest month of the year is July. This

Whitewater paddling is tremendous on Carson River - East Fork, and camping at Damsite Campground is always a great experience. is a good hiking trail nearby. Granite Lake is a beautiful lake in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Just can't get enough of the Northern Sierra Nevada. If you came to camp Upper Blue Lake Campground is a delightful place to do that,
and if the weather is fine, you can go for a hike along the Charity Valley Trail. For the period of the long summer days highs here at Granite Lake reach the 70's with night lows in the 40's. High temperatures through the wintertime
are normally in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Granite Lake drop into the 10's.
