Teal Pond is a good lake near Goose Pond, and it's a great idea to stop by Jim Creek. Stay the night at Big Sage Campground, and after a long day outdoors Super 8 Alturas is a delightful site to spend a night or two. There are other spots here than Goose Pond, for example Duck Pond. So many cool things to do here in the Southern Cascade Range, too delightful to be true. Sully's Trailer Lodge is a perfect campground nearby, and       Best Western Trailside Inn is a perfect location to get some rest. Goose Pond is typically a reasonably dry place; during December this area sees the most snow; July on the other hand is the driest. Goose Pond is a beautiful lake in the Southern Cascade Range. At Goose Pond throughout the summer highs are in the 80's while overnight lows are generally in the 40's.
