Goose Lake is a lake worth visiting. Goose Lake is usually a relatively dried up spot; the wettest month of the year is frequently January, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is July. A delightful place for whitewater paddling right next door to Goose Lake is Deer Creek, and after a long day outdoors Town House Motel is a good place to spend a night or two. Why not camp at Woodson Bridge State Recreation Area while you're here

Through the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 50's with temperatures at Goose Lake dipping down into the 30's throughout winter nights. You clearly have to fancy Goose Lake. Get your heart pumping on the tremendous whitewater of Antelope Creek. This lake is so wonderful. | |

Good hiking is available along the Old Lassen Trail, and if you're here you will meet lots of people from nearby Red Bluff. Camping is available at Woodson Bridge RV Park; Safari Inn is a brilliant place to get some rest.
