From a rain point of view Goose Lake is a rather normal spot; January is the wettest month with most rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. You absolutely must have a thing about the Northern Sierra Nevada. This lake is one of the great places here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. This lake is so wonderful. Haven Lake is a nearby lake       that you could stop by, and nearby you locate the Butcher Ranch Trail which is a great hiking trail. A good place for whitewater paddling in the neighborhood of Goose Lake is Yuba River - North Fork, and Graeagle Meadows Golf Course is a golf course nearby. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to Goose Lake. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 40's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 40's, and night lows through                  the winter for Goose Lake tend to be in the 20's. All the outdoors cool stuff in the vicinity of Goose Lake will keep you coming back repeatedly. If the weather is good here at Goose Lake, you can go for a hike along the Deer Lake Trail. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Goose Lake has to offer, you can camp at Diablo Campground. After a long day outdoors Deer Creek Inn is a great place to spend a night or two, and you can stay the night at Snag Lake Campground. These mountains rock, just check out all the enjoyable stuff to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. A lake close by is Snag Lake, and in the event that you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Lavezzola Creek. If you want a tremendous time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Northern Sierra Nevada. Chalet View Lodge is a great place to get some rest, and the Pacific Crest Trail - section 15 is a great hiking trail close by. This lake is so wonderful. Church Meadows is a delightful place here at Goose Lake, and skiing at Royal Gorge is one of those things you just should do. Having a wonderful time at Goose Lake is easy.
