If you like lakes and you're in this part of California you can check out Goose Lake. This lake is so wonderful. There's nice hiking along the Crane Mountain National Recreation Trail; if you need a site to stay Rim Rock Motel is a tremendous choice. There's so much to do here at Goose Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Plum Valley Campground is a good site for that, and a wonderful nearby hotel is Interstate 8 Motel.
