This lake is so wonderful. At Golden Russian Lake throughout the months of summer highs are in the 90's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Golden Russian Lake. You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the Klamath Mountains. There are some tremendous whitewater spots on Salmon River

| | - South Fork; on a glorious day you can take a hike along the Garden Gulch Trail. An average amount of precipitation falls at Golden Russian Lake; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. like it here in the Klamath Mountains. Golden Russian Lake is not the only place close by, Lower Russian Lake is a close by lake, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Salmon River. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an
overnight stay Trail Creek Campground is a nice site to camp, and hey, Blakes Fork is a fine local stream. While you're here at Golden Russian Lake you can take a hike along the Tanners Peak Trail, of course you could also check out
Waterdog Lake while you're here; it's not far at all. Golden Russian Lake is a beautiful lake in the Klamath Mountains. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this location. Idlewild Campground is a great campground nearby, and a fine spot to explore is Creole Belle Gulch.
