A visit to Golden Lake is always a good idea. Golden Lake is one of the lakes here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. The skiing at Dodge Ridge is magnificent; Disaster Peak is beautiful and can be seen from here. And that's not all the things to do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Stanislaus River - Middle Fork, and if you're here at Golden Lake it's a wonderful idea to take a look at Coyote Meadow.

| | Lake, you might not ever want to go back home again. There's so much to do here at Golden Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Peaceful Pines Campground is a brilliant place for that; of course Boulder Creek flows through this region. Just can't get enough of the Northern Sierra Nevada. choice. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Carson River - East Fork offers some great whitewater; you can have a fine hiking adventure along the Silver King Trail.
Golden Lake is glorious enough
to spend more than a day at, Sand Flat Campground is a glorious local campground, and on a brilliant day you can take a hike along the Corral Valley Trail. This lake is so wonderful. At Golden Lake you don’t see much rainfall; the
wettest month of the year is frequently January, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is July.
High temperatures at Golden Lake through the summer months are in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures
are in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's while Golden Lake night low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 20's.
