Looking for some flowing water? Try Boulder Creek, and Half Moon Lake is a pleasant lake nearby. Golden Lake is a location that is relatively dried out mostly; January is the month that gets the most rain; July meanwhile is the driest month. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Dodge Ridge is close to Golden Lake. Be careful coming to Golden Lake, you might not ever wanna return home again. There's whitewater on Carson River - East       Fork for all you thrill seekers; at Golden Lake you can spot Disaster Peak. Throughout the months of summer at Golden Lake temperatures are usually in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are generally in the 40's while Golden Lake night low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the 20's. Having a great time in the Northern Sierra Nevada is uncomplicated. Peaceful Pines Campground is a pleasant                  local campground, and there are glorious places to explore along the Silver King Trail. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors entertaining things the Northern Sierra Nevada has to offer. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Gardnerville/Carson City is a great site to spend a night or two, and there are other locations here than Golden Lake, for example Bull Lake. This lake is located in the wonderful Northern Sierra Nevada. This lake is so wonderful. A pleasant trip to Coyote Meadow is a splendid way to spend an afternoon, and you can go for a hike on the Pacific Crest Trail - section 13. Good hiking is available along the Corral Valley Trail, and Golden Lake is a good site to visit for more than one day, Sand Flat Campground is a good site to camp nearby.
