After a long day outdoors Chalet View Lodge is a great place to spend a night or two, and Gold Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Snag Lake Campground is a good local campground. Just can't get enough of the Northern Sierra Nevada. Lakes are tremendous; Little Gold Lake is a lake that's close to Gold Lake, and if you       need a location to stay Deer Creek Inn is a nice choice. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is pleasant here at Gold Lake, you can go for a hike along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 15; a splendid place to camp here at Gold Lake is Diablo Campground. For you golfers we recommend nearby Graeagle Meadows Golf Course, and there is a tremendous hiking trail nearby called the Butcher Ranch Trail. This location rocks, just check out all the entertaining                  things to do near Gold Lake. You have to definitely dedicate some time to Lakes Basin while you're here at Gold Lake, and do put some time aside to spend at Frazier Falls since you're here at Gold Lake. Upper Salmon Lake Dam is not far at all from Gold Lake, and glide down the rapids of Yuba River - North Fork in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Lavezzola Creek offers some good whitewater, and the Deer Lake Trail is a good hiking trail close by. Any time is a tremendous time at Gold Lake if you like the outdoors. And if that's not enough there's plenty more cool things to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. A day on the slopes of Royal Gorge is just what you need; unsurprisingly, this is a nice region for folks who like lakes, Squaw Lake is a lake close by. Gold Lake is one of the lakes here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. The warmest time of the year at Gold Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 90's while night lows are frequently in the 40's.
