     Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the Klamath Mountains. A visit to Oregon Caves National Monument is worthwhile. Sulphur Springs Campground is a delightful campground nearby; hiking is a popular thing to do around Gold Granite Lake; Garden Gulch Trail is a good local trail. For the period of the days of summer, highs mostly are in the 90's at Gold Granite Lake. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with  
   highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Gold Granite Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. Wooley Creek has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby, and if you've had enough of Gold Granite Lake, Cuddihy Lakes is close by. You could also visit Green Granite Lake while you're here at Gold Granite Lake; it's close by, and you can stay the night at Pick-aw-Ish Campground. This lake is one of the great places here in the Klamath Mountains.
 
               All year is a nice time in the Klamath Mountains if you fancy the outdoors. Whitewater paddling is good on Klamath River, and do take a hike on the Salmon Summit Recreation Trail. Just can't get enough of Gold Granite Lake. Don’t forget to have a look at Granite Meadow if you're here at Gold Granite Lake, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Boundary National Recreation Trail. Gold Granite Lake is a quite wet place typically with a good deal of precipitation; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
