     Gladys Lake is one of the lakes here in the Central Sierra Nevada. This lake is so wonderful. Rosalie Lake is a tremendous lake close to Gladys Lake, and the Mammoth Rock Trail is a delightful hiking trail close by. But wait, there's more fun things to do in the Central Sierra Nevada. A magnificent location to camp here at Gladys Lake is Reds Meadow Campground, and nearby you find the Sherwin Lakes Trail which is a good hiking trail.
You can run the rapids
 
   of Mono Creek next to Gladys Lake, and after a long day outdoors Heidelberg Inn is a tremendous site to spend a night or two. What a site this is for outdoors folks. Get your heart pumping on the brilliant whitewater of San Joaquin River - Middle Fork, and a tremendous close by hotel is Mammoth Mountain Inn. Gladys Lake is a good site of typical rain; January is the wettest month with most rain; the driest of the months is June.
For the period of the summer
 
               months highs here at Gladys Lake reach the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. For the period of the winter the highs are frequently in the 40's with temperatures at Gladys Lake dipping down into the 20's throughout winter nights. Camping at Minaret Falls Campground is always a good experience, and if the weather is delightful, you can go for a hike along the John Muir Trail - section 2. Skiing at June Mountain is one of those things you just ought to do.
Having a delightful time in the Central Sierra Nevada is easy. Everybody loves Agnew Meadows; Shadow Creek is near Gladys Lake and is always a delight to pop by. This lake is so wonderful. Really good skiing awaits you at Mammoth Mountain, and lakes are such calm locations, why not check out Vivian lake.
