If you are traveling by, why not stop by Glacier Lake. Glacier Lake is located in the Northern Sierra Nevada. All the water falling down from the sky makes Glacier Lake a wet spot; January is when you get the most rain here; the driest month of the year is July. This lake is so wonderful. You can never get enough of the tremendous skiing at Soda Springs; you'll meet a lot of folks from Truckee-Grass Valley here.

Why not camp at Grouse Ridge Campground while you're here at Glacier Lake, and get your pulse rate up on the good whitewater of Yuba River - South Fork. You could also explore Echo Lake since you're here at Glacier Lake; it's close by; going for a hike along the Glacier Lakes Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area.

keep you coming back time and again. Dry warm beds await you at Deer Creek Inn, and Glacier Lake is not the only spot close by, Faucherie Lake is a close by lake. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Northern Sierra Nevada. Camping
is available at Canyon Creek Campground, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Fordyce Creek. Skiing at Royal Gorge is one of those things you just ought to do, and while you're here you
can take a hike along the Grouse Ridge Trail.
Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting things near Glacier Lake. You get a delightful vista of Black Buttes from Glacier Lake; on a splendid day you can take a hike along the Crooked
Lakes Trail. Summertime highs at Glacier Lake generally tend to be in the 80's; the overnight is fairly chillier of course, frequently in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Glacier Lake.
