too good to be true. On a lovely day you get a panorama of Black Buttes from Glacier Lake, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit nearby Baltimore Lake. High temperatures at Glacier Lake during the
long summer days are in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's; overnight lows at Glacier Lake through the winter generally fall into the 20's. This lake is
so wonderful. Take a hike on the Grouse Ridge Trail, and Yuba River - South Fork has a glorious whitewater paddling spot close by. All the water falling down from the sky makes Glacier Lake a wet place; the month of January is the
wettest with most of the rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. You feel that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Glacier Lakes Trail, and in the event that you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Fordyce Creek.
