Throughout the warmest time of the year highs here at Gilmore Lake get into the 70's. Summer night lows dip down to the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Gilmore Lake temperatures sink to the 10's. These mountains rock, just look at all the fun stuff to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Why not camp       at Eagle Falls Campground if you're here at Gilmore Lake; Homewood is a good local ski area. If you come at the right time of year, Silver Creek - South Fork offers some nice whitewater; of course, this is a nice vicinity for people who like lakes, Kalmia Lake is a lake in the neighborhood. This lake is so wonderful. Dicks Pass is close to Gilmore Lake and is a nice spot, and Tahoe Paradise Golf Course is a magnificent golf course nearby. And if that's                  not enough, there's a heap more to do near Gilmore Lake. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Gilmore Lake; General Creek Trail is a perfect local trail, and a splendid beach nearby is Kiva Beach. And if you're still looking for more outdoors fun things just keep reading. If you need a place to stay Pistantes Coyote Den is a good choice; lots of folks from Gardnerville Ranchos come here. Take a hike on the Pacific Crest Trail - section 14, and Baldwin Beach is a beach close by that you can have a look at. This lake is so wonderful. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Glen Alpine Spring, and dry warm beds await you at Pine Cone Acre Motel. If you want a splendid time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Northern Sierra Nevada. The skiing at Sierra at Tahoe is good; you're almost certainly into lakes, Tallac Lake is one of those close by. This lake is so wonderful.
