Gilman Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. A tremendous spot near Gilman Lake is Glines Canyon. There's so much to do here at Gilman Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Saddlebag Campground is a magnificent place for that. At Gilman Lake during the warmest time of the year highs are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 30's. All through the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 40's, and during the

| | dark hours in the wintertime at Gilman Lake temperatures drop to the 0's. Don't stop me now, cause I'm havin' a magnificent time here at Gilman Lake. The vista of Black Mountain from Gilman Lake is beautiful, and if you came to camp Sawmill Campground is a tremendous site to do that.
This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Best Western Ruby Inn is a glorious choice, and Gilman Lake is right by the Gaylor Lakes Trail. So much enjoyable stuff | |

in the Central Sierra Nevada, just mind-blowing. If you come at the right time of year, Tenaya Creek offers some wonderful whitewater, and the Pacific Crest Trail - section 12 offers hiking at its best. Gilman Lake is pretty dry generally;
the month with most of the snow is January; the driest month is October.
And that's not everything there is to do here in the Central Sierra Nevada. A magnificent nearby hotel is Ruby Inn, and it's a pleasant idea to stop at East
Fork Green Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the John Muir Trail - section 2; lakes are such serene places, why not visit Blue Lake.
