What a nice lake Gibraltar Reservoir is. This lake is so wonderful. A magnificent place to camp here at Gibraltar Reservoir is Lower Camuesa Campground; here at Gibraltar Reservoir you can distinguish Camuesa Peak. Gibraltar Reservoir gets very little rainfall; the wettest month of the year is mostly February, that's the one that rains the most while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Places like Gidney Flat are perfect to pop by, and Sheffield Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could have a look at. If you want a magnificent time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Santa Ynez Mountains. Yep, outdoors entertaining stuff truly is abundant here in the Santa Ynez Mountains. Lots of folks from Santa Barbara-Santa Maria-Goleta come to Gibraltar Reservoir, and splendid hiking is available along the Buckhorn Trail.
Through
the warm days of summer here at Gibraltar Reservoir, high temperatures mostly get into the 90's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 60's while Gibraltar Reservoir
night low temperatures during the winter are in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. Camuesa Creek is a scenic stream that is worth stopping at, and nearby you stumble on Angostura Pass which is a tremendous spot to take a look at.
Go for a hike on the Tunnel Trail.
Now, you may believe that's a lot but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Gibraltar Reservoir. Dry warm beds await you at Lemon Tree Inn; camping is available at Middle Camuesa Campground. Gibraltar Reservoir is a beautiful lake in the Santa Ynez Mountains.
