Gibbs Lake is pretty dry regularly; January is the month that gets the most snow, and October on the other hand is the driest. Take a hike on the Gaylor Lakes Trail, and you can hit the slopes at June Mountain in close proximity. Summer at Gibbs Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and the overnight is slightly colder of course, frequently in the 30's. During the winter this place gets highs       in the 40's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at Gibbs Lake temperatures dip to the 0's. Don't stop me now, cause I'm havin' a splendid time here at Gibbs Lake. A lovely lake like Kidney Lake near Gibbs Lake is a good place to visit. This lake is so wonderful. Gibbs Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Tioga Junction Campground is a fine local campground, and you can have a perfect hiking adventure along the John Muir Trail - section                  2. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors exciting things the Central Sierra Nevada has to offer. If you came to camp Ellery Lake Campground is a perfect place to do that, and Heidelberg Inn is a fine place to get some rest. Gibbs Lake is located in the Central Sierra Nevada.
