After a long day outdoors Yosemite Gateway Motel is a great location to spend a night or two, and the slopes of June Mountain are so inviting noone can resist. All the outdoors cool stuff close to Gibbs Lake will keep you coming back time and again. Not far from Gibbs Lake, you'll hit upon Kidney Lake which is a gorgeous lake, and nearby you come across the Pacific Crest Trail - section       12 which is a fine hiking trail. All year is a fine time in the Central Sierra Nevada if you fancy the outdoors. The warmest time of the year at Gibbs Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's while night lows are generally in the 30's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 40's with temperatures at Gibbs Lake dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. On a brilliant day at Gibbs Lake you can                  take a hike along the Gaylor Lakes Trail, and why not camp at Tioga Junction Campground since you're here at Gibbs Lake. The John Muir Trail - section 2 is a perfect hiking trail next to Gibbs Lake, and camping is available at Ellery Lake Campground. This lake is located in the wonderful Central Sierra Nevada. So many entertaining things to do here in the Central Sierra Nevada, too perfect to be true. A glorious nearby hotel is Heidelberg Inn. Lakes? Sure, Walker Lake is in close proximity.
