Why not take a refreshing hike along the Mammoth Rock Trail; you can see Granite Stairway from Gertrude Lake. This place rules, just explore all the enjoyable things to do in close proximity to Gertrude Lake. After a long day outdoors Heidelberg Inn is a great place to spend a night or two, and June Mountain is a very popular ski area around here. A pretty lake like Anona Lake in close proximity to Gertrude Lake is a perfect site to explore. The Central Sierra

| | Nevada scenery is always beautiful. Through the warm days of summer at Gertrude Lake temperatures are ordinarily in the 90's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Gertrude Lake are in the 20's. to do in the Central Sierra Nevada. There's so much to do here at Gertrude Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Minaret Falls Campground is a tremendous spot for that, and a good place like Stairway Meadow here at Gertrude
Lake is too great to miss. Take a hike on the Sherwin Lakes Trail, and a great place for whitewater paddling is San Joaquin River - Middle Fork. Having a splendid time in the Central Sierra Nevada is uncomplicated. Head up to Mammoth
Mountain and strap some skis to your feet; if you came to camp Reds Meadow Campground is a fine spot to do that. This lake is so wonderful. Noname Lake is a wonderful lake near Gertrude Lake, and Mono Creek is a wonderful whitewater
spot nearby. This lake is so wonderful. A splendid close by hotel is Mammoth Mountain Inn, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Gertrude Lake; John Muir Trail - section 2 is a great local trail.
