This lake is located in the wonderful Northern Sierra Nevada. Gerle Creek Divide Reservoir is a reasonably wet place mostly with much rain; during the month of January you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is July. Be careful coming to the Northern Sierra Nevada, you might not ever wanna go home again. Squaw Valley has great slopes and a friendly staff, and camping at Yellow Jacket       Campground is always a fine experience. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Gerle Creek Divide Reservoir; South Fork Trail is a wonderful local trail, and why not a little side spree to Angel Creek. Camping is available at Wentworth Springs Campground; since you're here at Gerle Creek Divide Reservoir it's a great idea to have a look at Butler Meadow. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of American River - South Fork in the neighborhood                  of Gerle Creek Divide Reservoir; dry warm beds await you at Plumpjack Squaw Valley Inn. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Gerle Creek Divide Reservoir. Good hiking is available along the Hunsucker Trail; Silver Creek - South Fork is a fine whitewater spot close by. This lake is so wonderful. Squaw Valley Lodge is a great spot to get some rest, and you can go for a hike on the Dry Lakes Trail. That right there is a lot of exciting things already but it goes on, the Northern Sierra Nevada has it all. Really wonderful skiing awaits you at Alpine Meadows, and there are other locations here than Gerle Creek Divide Reservoir, for example Berts Lake. For the duration of the days of summer highs here at Gerle Creek Divide Reservoir get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 40's.
