So many exciting things to do here in the Central Sierra Nevada, too fine to be true. The John Muir Trail - Pacific Crest Section offers hiking at its best, and there's wonderful hiking along the Kings River Trail. George Lake is pretty dried up usually; most of the rain falls through January, and the driest month is June. Devils Postpile National Monument is one of the destinations near George Lake that are pleasant to go to,       and a perfect spot for whitewater paddling is Kings River - Middle Fork. At George Lake throughout the summer months highs are in the 90's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 50's, and overnight lows through the wintertime for George Lake tend to be in the 20's. If you fancy the outdoors, you'll adore George Lake. The vista of Table Mountain from George Lake is stunning. There's so much to                  do here at George Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Aspen Meadow Campground is a fine site for that.
