This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Super 8 Motel - Bishop is a nice choice, and on a magnificent day you can take a hike along the John Muir Trail - Pacific Crest Section. George Lake is pretty dehydrated typically; January is the wettest month with most rain, and June on the other hand is the driest. Whitewater paddling is pleasant on Kings River - Middle Fork; if you came for an overnight stay Aspen       Meadow Campground is a nice spot to camp. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors entertaining stuff the Central Sierra Nevada has to offer. Devils Postpile National Monument is a very fine place to take a look at near George Lake, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Kings River Trail. This is no spot for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Dry warm beds await you at Bishop-Days Inn, and why not camp at Sabrina Campground while you're                  here at George Lake.
