Lake Genevieve is located in the Central Sierra Nevada. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Lake Genevieve that you need to camp here for a while, Upper McGee Creek Campground is a great place for that, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; June Mountain is quite near. Just can't get enough of the Central Sierra Nevada. A day on the slopes of Mammoth Mountain is just what       you need, and if you're looking for a perfect trip, Devils Postpile National Monument is reasonably near. And that's not all you can do here at Lake Genevieve. Lake Genevieve is right by the Sherwin Lakes Trail, and there are other places here than Lake Genevieve, for example Bighorn Lake. San Joaquin River - South Fork is a perfect whitewater spot near Lake Genevieve, and dry warm beds await you at Mammoth Lakes Travelodge. This lake is so wonderful.                  From Lake Genevieve you acquire a good panorama of Bloody Mountain, and if you came to camp Crowley Lake Campland is a wonderful place to do that. It is very dry here at Lake Genevieve regularly; the month with most of the rain is January while June is typically the driest month. You can run the rapids of Mono Creek next to Lake Genevieve, and some interesting geology is available here, Sevehah Cliff is right here. Throughout the days of summer, highs commonly are in the 70's at Lake Genevieve. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 40's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Lake Genevieve temperatures sink to the 20's. And if that's not enough there's a heap more entertaining things to do in the Central Sierra Nevada.
