Many people like to go to Gem Lakes. Summertime highs at Gem Lakes usually tend to be in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. During the winter the highs are typically in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Gem Lakes are in the 20's. This is a wonderful region for folks who like lakes. Box Lake is a lake around here, and after a long day outdoors Mammoth Creek Inn is a magnificent location to spend a night or two. This lake is located

| | in the wonderful Central Sierra Nevada. There are some delightful whitewater spots on Mono Creek, and nearby you stumble on Morgan Pass which is a tremendous location to pop by. This lake is so wonderful. Visiting Devils Postpile National Monument is just something you need to do if you haven't yet, and camping at Lake Inlet Campground is always a great experience. panorama of lovely Mount Abbot is available from Gem Lakes, and a wonderful close by hotel is Mammoth Lakes Travelodge. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun stuff in the Central Sierra Nevada. If you come at the right time of
year, San Joaquin River - South Fork offers some nice whitewater, and Mammoth Mountain is a very popular ski area in the neighborhood. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Sherwin Lakes Trail. At Gem Lakes you don’t see
much precipitation; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most rain, and June meanwhile is the driest month. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining things near Gem Lakes. Good hiking is available along
the Mammoth Rock Trail, and Gem Lakes is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Mosquito Flat Campground is a glorious local campground.
