In California there are many beautiful lakes, Gem Lake is one of them. And that's not all you can do here at Gem Lake. Gem Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Spring Flat Campground is a pleasant local campground, and camping at Bridge Flat Campground is always a wonderful experience. This lake is so wonderful. Near Gem Lake you find the Deacon Lee Trail which is a perfect hiking trail; the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Cold Spring.

Gem Lake is a beautiful lake in the Klamath Mountains. High temperatures at Gem Lake during the summertime are in the 90's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 50's. 30's. Having a perfect time in the Klamath Mountains is trouble-free. Whitewater paddling is fine on Salmon River; if you need a spot to stay Baymont Inn Yreka is a good choice.
In the event that you don’t have a problem getting
covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Scott River; there is a perfect hiking trail close by called the Garden Gulch Trail. But wait, there's more enjoyable things to do in the Klamath Mountains. The high level
of rainfall makes Gem Lake a rather wet location; December is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is July.
