There's whitewater on Salmon River for all you adrenaline rush seekers, and a short spree to Cold Spring is always worthwhile. Gem Lake is a beautiful lake in the Klamath Mountains. Be careful coming to the Klamath Mountains, you might not ever wanna go home again. After a long day outdoors Baymont Inn & Suites Yreka is a good place to spend a night or two. Summer at Gem Lake       comes with high temperatures in the 90's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 40's; night lows in the 30's for Gem Lake. Gem Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain, and July is when it's the driest. You believe that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Gem Lake is right by the Garden Gulch Trail, and while you're here, you could also have                  a look at striking Summit Lake. This lake is so wonderful. There are some great whitewater spots on Scott River, and Bridge Flat Campground is a nice local campground. Yeah, come up here to the Klamath Mountains for a glorious time.
