Gem Lake is one of the lakes here in the Central Sierra Nevada. All the outdoors fun things in the Central Sierra Nevada will keep you coming back persistently. Crest Creek is a beautiful stream that is worth taking a look at, and June Mountain has brilliant slopes and a friendly staff. All through the summertime here at Gem Lake, high temperatures usually reach the 90's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. Daytime highs through

| | the winter are in the 40's; after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Gem Lake dip into the 20's. Good hiking is available along the John Muir Trail - section 2. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such calm spots, why not have a look at Billy Lake in the vicinity of Gem Lake, and if you need a spot to stay Heidelberg Inn is a great choice. thing to do around Gem Lake; Mammoth Rock Trail is a magnificent local trail. An average amount of rainfall falls at Gem Lake; most of the rain falls throughout January, and the driest month is June. Not enough hours in a day
to enjoy the Central Sierra Nevada. A stunning lake like Clark Lakes next to Gem Lake is a brilliant site to stop by, and you can hit the slopes at Mammoth Mountain close by. You clearly must love Gem Lake. Spooky Meadow is a pretty
spot any time of year; camping is available at Grant Lake Marina-campground. There's good hiking along the Gaylor Lakes Trail, and a wonderful place to camp here at Gem Lake is Trailer Park Campground. If you come at the right
time of year, San Joaquin River - Middle Fork offers some perfect whitewater, and Agnew Pass is in close proximity, and is a good place.
