Lakes? Sure, Jewel Lake is around here; camping at Rocky Knoll Campground is always a delightful experience. But wait, there's more cool things to do in the Southern Cascade Range. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Best Western Rose Quartz Inn is a great spot to spend a night or two, and don't leave Gem Lake without first going for a hike along the Lassen Trail. Having a delightful time in the Southern Cascade Range is uncomplicated. Eleanor

| | Lake is a perfect lake right next door to Gem Lake, and you can go for a hike on the Pacific Crest Trail - section 16. Gem Lake is a location that is pretty dry ordinarily; January is the wettest month with most rain, and July on the other hand is the driest. yet. At Gem Lake through the warm months highs are in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Gem Lake.
