Through the months of summer highs here at Gaylor Lakes get into the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 30's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Gaylor Lakes temperatures descend to the 0's. This lake is one of the great places here in the Central Sierra Nevada. You can never get enough of the nice skiing at June Mountain. All the outdoors enjoyable things near Gaylor Lakes will keep

| | you coming back again and again. Nearby lakes? Sure, Granite Lakes is in the vicinity of Gaylor Lakes; nearby you come across great places like Glacier Canyon. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Yosemite Gateway Motel, and there is a great hiking trail close by called the Pacific Crest Trail - section 12. If the weather is glorious here at Gaylor Lakes, you can go for a hike along the Gaylor Lakes Trail. You'll need more than a day to explore | |

everything Gaylor Lakes has to offer, you can camp at Junction Campground. Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! The Central Sierra Nevada is peerless! On a tremendous day at Gaylor Lakes you can take a hike along the John
Muir Trail - section 2, and Gaylor Lakes is a great place to visit for more than one day, Tioga Campground is a great place to camp nearby. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors enjoyable things the Central Sierra Nevada
has to offer. After a long day outdoors Heidelberg Inn is a good place to spend a night or two, and Gaylor Peak can be seen from Gaylor Lakes. Around Gaylor Lakes you don’t get a lot of rain; January is the month that gets the most
snow; the driest month of the year is October. This lake is so wonderful. Get wet paddling on Tenaya Creek, and swing by Mine Creek it's a good site to go to. You could also have a look at Upper Gaylor Lake since you're here at Gaylor Lakes; it's nearby, and do set aside some time for Dana Meadows if you're here at Gaylor Lakes.
