Now, you may think that's loads but there's even more fun things to do here in the Klamath Mountains. Whitewater paddling is pleasant on Salmon River - North Fork; Upper Sky High Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit. Big Rock Fork is a great local stream. Through the warmest time of the year at Gate Lake temperatures are ordinarily in the 90's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 40's

| | while the cold winter nights at Gate Lake are in the 30's. Don’t forget to go to Death Valley if you're here at Gate Lake; if you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Klamath River. All the water falling down from the sky makes Gate Lake a wet place; December is when you get the most rain here; the driest of the months is July. & Suites Yreka is a glorious choice. This lake is so wonderful. Cold Spring is a splendid local attraction, and hiking along the Garden Gulch Trail is tremendous fun. This lake is located in the wonderful Klamath Mountains. And
if that's not enough there's a lot more exciting things to do in the Klamath Mountains. While you're here at Gate Lake, you could also check out scenic Frying Pan Lake, and you can have a great hiking adventure along the Tanners Peak
Trail. This lake is so wonderful. A great place to camp here at Gate Lake is Spring Flat Campground, and going for a hike along the Deacon Lee Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. And if you're still
