Gallison Lake

I was told that it was named after a man called Thaxter Morgan Gallison from Vanceboro,Maine who built a 'camp' on its shore around the 1790's. Says Steve Gallison

Believe this Lake is Named after a relative that used to be a Park Ranger at Yosemite National Park Says Richard L Gallison

This lake is so wonderful. Tuolumne River has a glorious 32-mile-in-distance grade IV-V+ whitewater sweep close by, the Tioga Road Bridge to Hetch Hetchy Reservoir
sector. This sweep of Tuolumne River is recommended for expert whitewater paddlers solely. On Tenaya Creek nearby you bump into the 1-mile-from-beginning-to-end Super Slide section of class V whitewater.
