     Gallison Lake is always a pleasure to visit. You clearly should go for Gallison Lake. Not far from Gallison Lake, you'll hit upon Hanging Basket Lake which is a charming lake, and don't leave Gallison Lake without first going for a hike along the John Muir Trail - section 1. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Central Sierra Nevada. There are some great whitewater spots on Tenaya Creek; you can go for a hike on the Gaylor Lakes Trail. There's so much to  
   do here at Gallison Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Tenaya Lake Campground is a good location for that; perfect hiking is available along the John Muir Trail - section 2.
Throughout the summer months at Gallison Lake highs are generally in the 80's; the overnight is a little cooler of course, commonly in the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are regularly in the 40's; night lows through the winter for Gallison Lake tend to be in the 20's. This
 
               lake is located in the wonderful Central Sierra Nevada.
Gallison Lake gets a typical amount of rainfall; January is the month that gets the most rain, and July meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend San Joaquin River - Middle Fork, and if you need a location to stay Heidelberg Inn is a great choice. All the outdoors amusing stuff in the Central Sierra Nevada will keep you coming back over and over. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore nearby Bernice Lake; you can stay the night at Tioga Campground.
This lake is so wonderful. If you like skiing, you're in luck; June Mountain is near Gallison Lake, and a splendid place is Tuolumne Pass. The Ahwahnee is a perfect spot to get some rest; Fletcher Peak is easy to spot from Gallison Lake.
