This lake is so wonderful. The Ahwahnee is a glorious spot to get some rest, and lakes are such serene sites, why not visit Chittenden Lake. Gale Lake is one of the lakes here in the Central Sierra Nevada. Summer at Gale Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's while nighttime lows are frequently       in the 50's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's; overnight lows at Gale Lake during the winter commonly dip into the 20's. Be careful coming to Gale Lake, you might not ever want to go home again. Have a brilliant hiking adventure along the Clouds Rest Trail, and camping at Bowler Group Campground is always a great experience. So much entertaining stuff to do in the Central Sierra Nevada, not enough time. A journey to Yosemite National Park                  is worthwhile; Shirley Lake is a great lake nearby. If you come at the right time of year, San Joaquin River - Middle Fork offers some splendid whitewater. The skiing at Badger Pass is fine, and Gale Peak is simple to spot from Gale Lake. After a long day outdoors dnc -- Wawona Hotel is a tremendous location to spend a night or two; Gale Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Upper Chiquito Campground is a good local campground. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Central Sierra Nevada. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Merced River - South Fork; if you're here you can take a hike along the Mono Meadow Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
