The yearly precipitation here at Funston Lake is about average; the wettest month of the year is mostly January, that's the one that rains the most; July on the other hand is the driest. I don't want to stop, cause I'm havin' a fine time here at Funston Lake. Do set aside some time for Boreal Plateau while you're here at Funston Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Lone Pine, and       since you're here you can take a hike along the Sawtooth Pass Trail. That right there is a lot of enjoyable things already but it goes on, the Southern Sierra Nevada has it all. Mount Anna Mills is wonderful and can be observed from Funston Lake, and Funston Lake is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Tuttle Creek Campground is a tremendous local campground. Kern River has a splendid whitewater paddling spot close by; going for a hike along the                  Mount Whitney Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. During the months of summer highs here at Funston Lake get into the 90's. All through the moonlight hours it's generally in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Funston Lake temperatures fall to the 30's. Funston Lake is one of the lakes here in the Southern Sierra Nevada. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Funston Lake, you could also take a look at scenic Johnson Lake.
