Super 8 Bishop is a pleasant place to get some rest, and a lake close by is Rocky Bottom Lake. High temperatures at Funnel Lake through the summer months are in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 50's; night lows throughout the winter for Funnel Lake tend to be in the 20's. Be careful coming       to the Central Sierra Nevada, you might not ever wanna return home again. So much exciting stuff to do at Funnel Lake, so little time. If you need a site to stay Days Inn Bishop is a perfect choice, and good hiking is available along the John Muir Trail - Pacific Crest Section. Why not camp at Aspen Meadow Campground if you're here at Funnel Lake; Funnel Lake is not the only site nearby, Coyote Lake is a nearby lake. Camping is available at Willow Campground,                  and The Hunchback is a peak you can distinguish from Funnel Lake. Funnel Lake is frequently a relatively waterless site; January is the month that gets the most rain while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Yeah, come up here to the Central Sierra Nevada for a wonderful time.
