     The amount of precipitation that falls at Frying Pan Lake is close to the national average; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most rain; July on the other hand is the driest. Camping at Upper Chiquito Campground is always a splendid experience; do take a hike on the John Muir Trail - section 1. This lake is so wonderful. A good nearby hotel is dnc -- Wawona Hotel.
If you have a thing about the outdoors, you'll like Frying Pan Lake. Whitewater
 
   paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Merced River - South Fork. Lakes are nice; Walton Lake is a lake that's in the vicinity of Frying Pan Lake. Whohoo, so much cool stuff in one place! The Central Sierra Nevada rocks! If the weather is wonderful, you get a great view of Triple Divide Peak from Frying Pan Lake, and unsurprisingly Fernandez Creek flows through this area. This lake is so wonderful. Frying Pan Lake is glorious  
               enough to spend more than a day at, Bowler Group Campground is a glorious local campground, and there are some tremendous whitewater spots on Tenaya Creek.
For the duration of the summertime at Frying Pan Lake highs are generally in the 80's while overnight lows are commonly in the 50's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's while Frying Pan Lake nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 20's. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors amusing stuff the Central Sierra Nevada has to offer. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Clouds Rest Trail, and if you need a site to stay The Ahwahnee is a magnificent choice. Have a delightful hiking adventure along the Half Dome Trail; not far from Frying Pan Lake you'll hit upon Slab Lakes which is a scenic lake.
